Do I need experience to eFoil?
None at all. Our four-step method — glide, kneel, stand, fly — has most first-timers flying over the water by the end of their very first 90-minute session.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes. All riders must be comfortable swimming. Life jackets and helmets are required and provided (you're welcome to bring your own).
Is there a weight or age limit?
Riders must be under 200 lbs and 18 or older, or accompanied by a parent. These limits keep everyone safe and the boards performing their best.
What should I bring?
A swimsuit, a towel, and a sense of adventure. We provide the board, safety gear, and instruction. Arrive about 30 minutes early to gear up and sign a waiver before your first flight.
How long is a lesson and what does it cost?
Private lessons run 90+ minutes at $150 for one rider, or add a second rider on their own board for $100. Hourly, group, and corporate options are available — see our pricing on the Reservations page.
Where do you launch?
Our primary launch is Ramsey Creek Park in Cornelius, NC on Lake Norman. We also ride Mountain Island Lake and Lake Wylie, and can travel to private property or your event.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Sessions run 7 days a week, weather permitting. If conditions aren't safe, we'll reschedule you at no charge — your safety and a great experience come first.
Can I buy an eFoil from you?
Yes — we're an authorized Waydoo dealer for the full Flyer EVO lineup and Subnado scooters, and we're the only place in the Charlotte area with a demo fleet. Try a board on a lesson first; your session credit applies toward any board you buy, and we handle ordering, setup, and delivery.
Which Waydoo board should I get?
It depends on your weight, skill, and how fast you want to go. Our side-by-side comparison makes it easy — and we're happy to talk it through after you've flown one.
Do you do group and corporate events?
Absolutely. Family outings up to 24 riders and corporate packages with pontoon support, lunch, and multiple boards. We travel up to 6 hours from Charlotte for destination events.
